Dorothy E. Foster Nursing Scholarship

The Dorothy E. Foster Nursing Scholarship, established by the Lakeside Memorial Hospital Twig Association (no longer in existence), was established to recognize an outstanding student in the Family Nurse Practitioners program.

The recipient must be enrolled as full time graduate student in the Department of Nursing master’s program preparing nurses to be Family Nurse Practitioners, completed one semester of study at SUNY Brockport in the master’s program with a 3.3GPA or above, demonstrate a commitment to a career in nursing as judged by the Department of Nursing selection committee and must have at least one semester of study remaining at Brockport.

To be considered for this award you must apply through the All Nursing Scholarships Conditional Application.

The financial assistance is in the form of a educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
