The Josh Silber ’93 Excellence in Leadership Award
This scholarship is supported by alumnus Josh Silber ’93. It recognizes an outstanding student at The College at Brockport who has demonstrated commitment and potential for excellence in leadership while attending the College. Recipients must entering their junior or senior years at the time the award is presented. They must demonstrate leadership skills through service to the College and/or community. Examples may include but are not limited to: service in a position of leadership with Brockport Student Government (BSG) or other student clubs or organizations; being a successful and respected Resident Assistant (RA); organizing and leading a group of peers or others in a successful fund raising or community service activity.

- Write a 500-word essay responding to the following question; how have your academic studies, leadership experience and extra-curricular activities contributed to your personal development and future plans?
- Include a separate page listing any extracurricular activities, including community service activities you have been part of during your college career. Indicate appointed or elected leadership positions as appropriate.
