John and Angela Sinacore Student Award for Excellence in Alcohol & Substance Abuse Studies

This scholarship recognizes a junior or senior student (apply during sophomore or junior year), who is majoring in Alcohol & Substance Abuse Studies, and has a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must demonstrate exemplary performance related to the goals of substance and alcohol abuse education through internships, volunteer service, professional association activities, curricular planning, research, or similar undertakings. Applicants must also demonstrate the characteristics of a leader in alcohol and substance abuse counseling, while possessing the potential to pursue graduate study, as judged by members of the selection committee. Applicants also should submit a 500-word essay on their academic excellence, dedication to alcohol and substance abuse studies, volunteer activities, and plans for graduate school.
