Marion D. Schrank Student Leadership Award

This award is the pinnacle of the student leadership awards at SUNY Brockport that recognizes an outstanding student who demonstrates scholastic achievement, exemplary leadership, and a commitment to the College through leadership in a student organization and/or student employment. Applicants must demonstrate a record of exemplary leadership, scholastic achievement, and commitment to the College community through various modes of involvement, including campus organizations, leadership positions, peer mentorship, engaged learning, and community service. Recipients of this award exemplifies integrity and civility, demonstrate a commitment to citizenship and the creation of an inclusive Brockport community. This award was created in honor of Marion D. Schrank, alumna and former VP for Student Affairs.

ELIGIBILITY and CRITERIA
The student must:
1. Be an undergraduate student who has completed 54 or more credit hours at time of application and demonstrates a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
2. Have a demonstrated record of exemplary leadership, scholastic achievement, and a commitment to the College community through various modes of involvement, including campus organizations, leadership positions, peer mentorship, engaged learning, and community service.
3. Have demonstrated commitment to citizenship and the creation of an inclusive Brockport community.
Preference is provided to eligible applicants in their senior year.

To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “Campus Wide Student Leadership Scholarships & Awards Application”.

The financial assistance is in the form of a check if the recipient is a graduate of SUNY Brockport before the fall semester of the award period. If the recipient is not a graduate by the start of the fall semester of the award period, the financial assistance will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period and the student must use this award for educational expenses at the College.
