Ruth A. Garis Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes a physical education major who demonstrates excellence in performance in an outdoor activity which includes, but is not limited to, backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing, alpine/cross country skiing, snowboarding, golf, and soccer. Applicants must have earned at least 54 credit hours and possess a GPA of 3.25 or better.

To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “All Kinesiology, Sports Studies and Physical Education General Scholarship (KSSPE)" application.

The financial assistance is in the form of a educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
