Allen V. Upton Scholarship
Allen V. Upton, ’79, focused on working in the New York City financial community during his time at Brockport. After graduation, he achieved his goal, beginning his career with Canton Fitzgerald, where over the course of his career, he became First Vice President Corporate Bonds.
On September 11, 2001, he was at his desk in the Cantor Fitzgerald offices in the World Trade Center, when he became one of the more than 3,000 people who lost their lives that day.
Allen’s family and friends recall him as someone who had a gift for making other feel special. He adored both his family and friends who remember that he always gave of himself, offering helpful advice and quietly making donations. His scholarship annually recognizes an outstanding student in the School of Business and Management who has the potential for success.
