Brockport Student Government Endowed Scholarship

Brockport Student Government Endowed Scholarship

The Brockport Student Government (BSG) established this scholarship to recognize an entering freshman or transfer student at SUNY Brockport who has demonstrated the potential for leadership in their college career. BSG hopes to attract and retain student leaders by recognizing and encouraging students who have demonstrated the ability to be of service to their schools, their fellow students, and their communities.

The Scholarship Selection Committee of the Brockport Foundation, plus the president of the Brockport Student Government, will choose the recipient from among the applicants.
To qualify, students must be a high school senior or transfer student admitted to The College at Brockport. High school students should have a GPA of 88 or better along with a score of 1170 on the SAT or 24 on the ACT tests. Transfer students must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Along with academic criteria, all applicants should demonstrate a record of leadership activities, indicate an interest in continuing participation in these activities at Brockport, and submit a 100- to 250-word paragraph on “What I Gain from Participating in Extracurricular and Service Activities.”
