Campus Recreation Scholarship

The Department of Campus Recreation at SUNY Brockport established a scholarship to recognize outstanding students who are Campus Recreation employees. The scholarship encourages student employees to engage with the Brockport community through healthy life choices and learning outside the classroom.

Each year, Campus Recreation employs students in a variety of roles, including membership, group exercise, intramural sports, informal recreation, and operations. In offering employment to students, Campus Rec provides them with transferrable leadership and professional skills.

To qualify for the Campus Recreation Scholarship, students must be employees of the Campus Recreation Department in the current academic year and plan to continue employment in the next academic year. Students who are currently seniors in the year the award is selected are not eligible. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.75 at the time of selection, and they must submit an essay that details their campus engagement and addresses how their experience as a student employees has affected their personal growth while attending Brockport.
