Class of 1953 Scholarship

The Class of 1953 graduated from SUNY Brockport when it was known at State University of New York, Teachers College at Brockport. This scholarship marks the 50th anniversary of the graduation of the Class of 1953 by recognizing the importance of teachers to our society.

Qualified applicants will be matriculated teacher candidates who have at least two semesters remaining before graduation and a GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants also should demonstrate a commitment to a teaching career and the potential for excellence as a teacher. They should submit an essay on their desire for a career in teaching along with two letters of recommendation from faculty in the certification program, or one faculty and one school-based teacher educator.
