Class of 1962 Scholarship

The Class of 1962 endowed a scholarship to recognize an outstanding undergraduate student at The College at Brockport who has demonstrated a potential for excellence in a career in teaching and to honor the class advisors: Dr. Frances Moroney Whited and William Manitsas.

Applicants must be matriculated full- or part-time students accepted into one of the College’s teacher certification programs, demonstrate academic proficiency and the potential for excellence in a teaching career, and provide two different letters of recommendation for this scholarship from faculty — One faculty recommendation must come from a professor in the certification program. In addition, applicants must submit an essay of two pages or less describing the reasons for wanting a career in teaching, highlighting significant involvement in the community and schools, and summarizing why the candidate qualifies for this scholarship.
