Dolly Pike Nursing Scholarship
The Pike Family established the Dolly Pike Nursing Scholarship at SUNY Brockport to recognize a student in the undergraduate nursing program who demonstrates financial need and a caring attitude.
The scholarship honors the memory of Gertrude (Dolly) Pike, a life-long resident of Rochester, NY, who was a registered nurse at Rochester General Hospital, where she worked in the operating room. Mrs. Pike also volunteered with Planned Parenthood, Durand School, and Boy Scouts. Her passions were the nursing profession and caring for others, including neighbors.
Entering freshman students accepted into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program can apply for this scholarship as can sophomore, junior, or senior BSN students. Applicants must demonstrate financial need as demonstrated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and may apply to renew the award with a 2.5 or better overall GPA.
