Heidi M. Caton Memorial Scholarship

The Heidi M. Caton Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Mrs. Caton by recognizing an outstanding transfer student at SUNY Brockport who is enrolled in the College’s accounting program.

A graduate of Brockport High School and SUNY Brockport, Mrs. Caton earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1995. She was a partner at Bonadio & Company, the accounting firm she worked with for more than 18 years.

Mrs. Caton and her husband Rick were the parents of three children, Amber, Brandi, and Stephen. She passed away in 2015. After her passing, her husband and her twin sister Debbie Toms established this award.

Applicants for the Heidi M. Caton Memorial Scholarship must have completed an associate’s degree at an accredited college and be accepted as a third-year transfer student in the accounting program at SUNY Brockport. Eligible students should demonstrate academic excellence and the potential for success in a career in accounting. Preference will be given to a woman student.
