James C. Fallon Scholarship
When James C. Fallon ’69 retired in 2009 after 16 years as the superintendent of the Brockport Central School District, his friends and colleagues established a scholarship in his honor to recognize an outstanding graduate of Brockport High School who will attend SUNY Brockport.
Mr. Fallon began his career with the Brockport Central School District as a fourth grade teacher in 1970. Over the next 39 years, he served the students, teachers, staff, and community of Brockport as a teacher and as an administrator. During those years, he also earned a master’s degree and a certificate of educational administration from SUNY Brockport.
The James C. Fallon Scholarship recognizes a senior at Brockport High School who is accepted into SUNY Brockport as a freshman, and who demonstrates high character with a well-rounded background of academics and co-curricular activities. The student also must show an interest in furthering their education through a commitment to lifelong learning.
In addition to the scholarship award, the recipient also will receive a copy of the book, Endurance: Shakleton’s Legendary Antarctic Experience, a personal favorite of Mr. Fallon’s.
