Katherine Murphy Parker represented service to The College at Brockport and to the local community.

During her 23 years at the College, Mrs. Parker served as librarian to the Department of Art, where she established the slide library as one of its resources. She was an elected member of the Faculty Senate and received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Service in 1983. Mrs. Parker, who passed away in 1994, was a favorite of her associates and students. Family and friends remember her for her kindness and courage as well as for her collection of antiques and extensive flowerbeds.
