McCue Scholarship
Diane ’77 and Gerald McCue established the McCue Scholarship to recognize and support high-performing, incoming freshman students who will major in one of the STEM majors at SUNY Brockport.
After graduation from the College, Mrs. McCue, a first-generation college student, earned her master’s degree in business administration from the Simon School at the University of Rochester. She then embarked on a successful 32-year career at Eastman Kodak Company. She began as a business analyst, serving in a series of management positions. In 2005, the company’s Board of Directors named her a corporate vice president, and in 2009, she became general manager for Paper and Output Systems in Kodak’s Graphics Communications Group.
Mrs. McCue has attributed her success to always doing more than expected and to support from her husband, family, and managers. Since retiring from Kodak in 2012, she and her sister have founded Savvy Girl Golf, a line of fashionable and organized golf accessory bags. She is a member of the board of the Brockport Foundation, and she has served on the board of Lollipop Farm, the Humane Society of Rochester and Monroe County.
Mr. McCue is a successful financial manager in the Rochester, serving as a senior wealth advisor and senior vice president with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. A graduate of SUNY Potsdam, he earned his master’s degree in business administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. McCue began his career as a financial analyst of UNISYS and then became controller for one of its manufacturing facilities in Rochester. In 1992, he joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, and in 2011, he became a senior vice president of the firm.
In 1998, the McCue’s established the McCue Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides four-year scholarships to qualified students at the State University of New York. He also is active in several local charities.
