Music Studies Service Award
The Department of Theatre and Music Studies at SUNY Brockport has established the Music Studies Service Award to recognize an outstanding contribution by a student that benefits the school’s music program.
Brockport offers classes in Applied Music, Music Theory, Music History, and Music Appreciation to fulfill both Music Minor and General Education requirements as well as participation in music ensembles for credit or non-credit.
Music classes and the music minor are offered by the Department of Theatre and Music Studies. Music courses also serve as a component of the Arts for Children Program.
Qualified applicants must be current, matriculated Brockport students who are involved with the College’s music program. They must demonstrate their commitment to the music program by serving as an ensemble officer, contributing to a music club, performing in multiple ensembles, dedicating time to arranging scores, or moving and arranging instruments for performance.
