Phyllisa McEwan '06 Prize

Virginia Bacheler, associate professor emerita in communication, established the Phyllisa McEwan ’06 Prize to honor the memory of Ms. McEwan by recognizing an outstanding student in the Department of Communication at SUNY Brockport.

Phyllisa McEwan was an adult student at Brockport who majored in Communication and was active with Brockport’s theater productions. She worked for the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center and started a consulting business with a former Brockport adjunct faculty member. She passed away in 2009.
