Precision Optical Transceivers Scholarship in Business
Precision Optical Transceivers and Todd Davis, the company’s chief executive officer, established the Precision Optical Transceivers Scholarship in Business at SUNY Brockport to recognize outstanding students in Brockport’s School of Business and Management.
Precision Optical Transceivers is a systems engineering company focused on transceivers and related optical components. For more than a decade, the company has provided high-quality, custom-engineered optical solutions for customers around the globe. It has built customer relationships in a variety of categories, including healthcare, education, enterprise, and government. In establishing its scholarship at Brockport, the company focuses on the future of its sector, the Rochester region, and Brockport students. Established in 2015, the Precision Optical Transceivers Scholarship in Business provides a full-tuition scholarship to two Brockport seniors each year.
To be eligible for the Precision Optical Transceivers Scholarship, applicants must be entering their senior year at Brockport, majoring in a program within the School of Business and Management, and must have a GPA of at least 3.0. Preference will go to students majoring in marketing, international business, or business administration. Successful applicants also must agree to serve as an ambassador for the School of Business and Management following graduation by engaging the school’s potential or enrolled students and graduates in a mentoring or advisory role.
