Ray DiPasquale Student Life Award

The staff of the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Division established the Ray DiPasquale Student Life Award at SUNY Brockport to honor Mr. DiPasquale’s commitment to students by recognizing a student who is actively involved on campus or with a student organization.

Mr. DiPasquale, a native of Mount Morris, earned his bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Tech University and his master’s degree at Northeastern University. He began his career in academia at Middlesex (NY) Community College before coming to Brockport where he served as vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and as vice president for Institutional Advancement.

In 2007, Mr. DiPasquale was named president of the Community College of Rhode Island and commissioner of higher education for the Rhode Island Board of Education. He received the Eleanor McMahon Award for Lifetime Achievement from the New England Board of Higher Education in 2013.

Mr. DiPasquale returned to the State University of New York in 2017 when he was appointed president of Clinton Community College in Plattsburg. Throughout his career, Mr. DiPasquale has been known for his leadership and for establishing partnerships with other government entities, businesses, and non-profit organizations to focus on mutual education and economic benefits.

Students who qualify for the Ray DiPasquale Student Life Award are full-time enrolled students at the College and have a GPA of 2.5 or better. They can apply as a sophomore or junior student for the scholarship awarded for their junior or senior year, respectively. Applicants also must demonstrate that they have been active on campus or in student organizations, and that they have a need for financial assistance as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
