Susan S. Collier Dance Scholarships
Dr. Susan S. Collier created scholarships to recognize outstanding undergraduate students in the Department of Dance at SUNY Brockport who demonstrate the potential for excellence in a career as a performer or a choreographer.
Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance and ranked in the top 30 percent of dance programs nationwide, Brockport’s Department of Dance is competitive with students required to pass an audition in order to matriculate. The program combines instruction by permanent faculty, guest artists, and resident companies with performances that provide students with connections to the world of dance as well as opportunities to practice their craft.
Students applying for the Susan S. Collier Dance Scholarships must be nominated by the Department of Dance faculty or staff, have completed at least one semester as a matriculated undergraduate student in the department, have good academic standing, and demonstrate excellence in performance and/or choreography as determined by the department’s faculty.
