Paul B Hanks, Sr. and Paul B Hanks, Jr. Award
This scholarship acknowledges and encourages the most promising senior, pre-law student whose academic accomplishments, record of community services, and involvement in extra-curricular activities reflect those qualities that made Paul B. Hanks, Sr. a highly respected and valued member of the legal profession and community. Paul B. Hanks, Sr. was a prominent Brockport attorney from 1924-1982 who gave outstanding service to the College as President and member of the College Council from 1952-1970. Eligible students are a graduating senior in the pre-law program at SUNY Brockport, irrespective of major, but whose postgraduate plans entail the study of law.
To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “All Political Science, International Studies, and Pre-Law Scholarships Application”.
The financial assistance is in the form of a check if the recipient is a graduate of SUNY Brockport before the fall semester of the award period. If the recipient is not a graduate by the start of the fall semester of the award period, the financial assistance will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period and the student must use this award for educational expenses at the College.
