Bernice Skirboll '79 Scholarship in the Mental Health Professions

This scholarship was established by class of 1979 alumna, Bernice “Bunny” Skirboll to recognize an outstanding adult student who is pursing and shows promise in a career in the mental health professions. Eligible students are continuing undergraduate or graduate students, who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate academic excellence, who demonstrate a commitment to the field of mental health, and are matriculated in Psychology (BA, BS, MA), Social Work (BS, MSW), Family Nurse Practitioner (MS), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Mental Health Counseling (MS), or School/College Counseling (MSEd). All eligible applications will be considered however, preference will be provided to application who are adult students (25 years of age +) and/or applicants who are returning for their undergraduate or graduate degree.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
