Anthony Mascioli Communication Scholarship

The scholarship is for a rising sophomore, rising junior or rising senior majoring in Communication or Journalism who possesses a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants are required to submit a typewritten response describing how they expects to build and maintain a career through writing (playwriting, screenwriting, fiction, or other forms of writing). The scholarship selection committee rotates between the Department of Journalism, Public Relations & Broadcasting (spring 2022 for 2022-2023) and the Department of Communication (spring 2023 for 2023-2024).

If you are a student in the Department of Communication, you will need to apply through the “All Department of Communication Scholarships Application.” to be considered for this opportunity.

If you are a student in the Department of Journalism, Public Relations & Broadcasting, you will be prompted to apply through the “All Journalism, Public Relations and Broadcasting Scholarships" conditional application.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
