Michael and Nancy Oshier Student Technology Scholarship

The Michael & Nancy Oshier Student Technology Scholarship was established by the name sake to annually recognize two students who demonstrate an aptitude for technology and its advanced uses in their chosen discipline. Eligible students must
1. Have completed at least two years of college-level study and earned a Brockport GP A of at least a 3.0 with a minimum of 12 credits. The student recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.0 in order to maintain receipt of this scholarship.
2. Are of good character, demonstrate an interest in, an ability for and exhibit a potential for the use of technology in their chosen discipline.
3. Demonstrated or theorized practical uses of technology in their discipline and plan to continue their use of technology in their professional career and demonstrate professional promise in that regard as judged by the selection committee.

This scholarship is selected from external nominations, faculty as well as students, from the School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Business and Administration and does not accept applications in AcademicWorks.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
