O'Reilly Scholarship in Environmental Science

This scholarship recognizes both incoming and continuing students who will major within the Department of Environmental Science & Ecology. Recipients must demonstrate academic excellence, an interest in and concern for environmental issues, and demonstrate a commitment to a career dedicated to the concern of environmental issues as judged by the selection committees.

• One incoming first year or incoming transfer student will be selected by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. That recipient may renew their scholarship for one additional year if they remain enrolled in the Department of Environmental Science & Ecology and maintain good academic standing.
• The Department of Environmental Science & Ecology will annually select one or more eligible continuing students.

Eligible incoming students are considered for this opportunity based on their undergraduate admission application. For continuing student applicants, this is an Auto-Match Opportunity. Applicants are auto-matched to this scholarship based on their submission of their General Application.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
