Elderwood Scholarships in Nursing
This scholarship recognizes one incoming student and one continuing student who both demonstrate the potential to be outstanding nurses and who are from Monroe County, New York.
- Incoming students must be accepted as a full-time, first year or incoming transfer student who is enrolled as a Nursing intent with the plan to apply into the nursing program, demonstrate participation in co-curricular involvement and community service, and demonstrate the academic potential to succeed. Preference will be provided to students who do not qualify for one of SUNY Brockport’s Extraordinary Academic Scholarships.
- Continuing students must be full-time undergraduate students, accepted into the Nursing program and pursuing a nursing degree, demonstrate academic excellence with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, and demonstrate participation in co-curricular involvement and community service.
Eligible incoming students are considered for this opportunity based on their undergraduate admission application. For continuing student applicants, you must apply through the “All Nursing Scholarships" conditional application for consideration.
The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
