Calvin Rich/English Club Student Poetry Award
This scholarship was established by Calvin Rich, assistant professor emeritus (1969-1995), and the English Club to encourage SUNY Brockport students to write and enjoy poetry. Current students who have completed at least 12 academic hours at Brockport are eligible to submit 50 to 100 lines of poetry in either free-form verse or in traditional form sonnet, villanelle, Spenserian stanza, blank verse, alliterative verse, etc.
To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “All Department of English Scholarships Application".
The financial assistance is in the form of a educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
