Steve Lewine '80 Global Engagement Study Abroad Scholarship

The Steve Lewine ’80 Global Education Study Abroad Scholarships annually support SUNY Brockport students who will participate in study abroad experiences. Eligible students must be matriculated SUNY Brockport students at either the undergraduate or graduate level in any academic program and be accepted or approved to participate in an international education experience through SUNY Brockport.

Applicants will be considered for this scholarship by the Center for Global Education and Experience at the time of application to your study abroad program.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.

Steve Lewine is a graduate of SUNY Brockport where he double majored in International Business and Spanish. The first in his family to go to college, Steve chose to attend Brockport based on the reputation of the Spanish program. While at Brockport, Steve participated in three international programs, spending two summers studying Spanish in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and attending McGill University in Canada his senior year.

After Brockport, Steve earned his Master’s in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona and his MBA from the Esade Business School in Barcelona, Spain. Steve had a very successful international banking career for over 20 years and credits Brockport with starting him on this path.

For the last 17 years, Steve has been advising high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and families on all aspects of their financial lives.
