Brockport Student Government Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes an outstanding undergraduate student who is involved on- and off-campus community as a leader and demonstrates potential to continue to contribute to the greater campus community in the future.
Eligible students will:

  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate student in any academic program at SUNY Brockport.
  • Demonstrate a record of involvement in student activities which includes but is not exclusive to participation in clubs and organizations, Brockport Student Government, advocacy groups, campus-wide committees, student led initiatives, and community service on- and, or off-campus as judged by the selection committee.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and the potential for leadership through involvement activities as judged by the selection committee.
  • Students who hold an elected office or who hold a paid position in Brockport Student Government are not eligible for consideration.
  • Recipient must have completed one semester at SUNY Brockport at the time of application and must have at least one semester of study remaining at the time of disbursement. Preference will be provided to applicants who have or are about to complete their first academic year at SUNY Brockport at the time of application.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
