Incoming Brockport Alumni Association Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes an incoming undergraduate or graduate student from alumni families who demonstrate a high degree of current and future success and is a well-rounded contributing member of their communities. Eligible students must:

  • Be accepted as a full-time, incoming first-year student, incoming transfer, or an incoming graduate student at SUNY Brockport.
  • Demonstrate academic excellence as an undergraduate student with an academic profile of at least a high school Grade Point Average (GPA) of 90 or higher as an incoming first-year student OR demonstrate academic excellence as an incoming transfer or graduate student with an academic profile of a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
  • Demonstrate participation in co-curricular involvement and community service and/or a successful record of part-time or full-time employment may be considered, but is not required.
  • Be related to a Brockport graduate and include the name of the alumnus/a relation (included maiden name if a female alumna) and their year of graduation. The relationship between the applicant and the alumnus/a must be a sibling, parent, grandparent, or legal guardian.

Eligible incoming students are considered for this opportunity based on their undergraduate or graduate admission application.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
