Ambrose L. Corcoran Art Award

This scholarship recognizes an Art major in the Department of Art who has junior status with a GPA of at least a B (3.0) in art studies and in art history classes. The award will be given to the junior student with the highest cumulative GPA. This fund was created by Dr. Ambrose Corcoran and Dr. Eileen Corcoran. Dr. Ambrose Corcoran was a Professor of Art from 1946-1981 and served as the Chair of the Department of Art. Dr. Eileen Corcoran was a Professor of Curriculum and Instruction from 1971-1981.

The financial assistance is in the form of a educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
