George Rich Student Philanthropy Award
This award recognizes a student who has made significant contributions to the College community in the form of service, monetary donation, or creative works through time and/or talent, and/or inspired others to be similarly involved. Applicants, as part of the process, will nominate an on-campus philanthropic, educational, or cultural endeavor to receive an additional award. This award was established to honor George Rich, alumnus, life-long Brockport resident, and former Brockport Alumni Association President, by Rosa “Rosie” LaSorte Rich, his wife and former College Class advisor.
To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “Student Engagement Scholarships & Awards Application”.
The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
