Ella Potote Ashworth Departmental Scholar Award in Education and Human Development
This scholarship recognizes an exemplary student who will be a senior in the year for which the award is made and who is defined by the statement: “Consistently exceeds performance level of that expected of a beginning teacher;” who has a minimum GPA of 3.75; who has no grade below a “B” in education courses; who is registered in the teacher certification program in the Department of Education and Human Development; and has attended Brockport for a minimum of four semester, having taken all education and DBD courses in regular certification program.
This award is selected by the Department of Education and Human Development and does not accept applications.
The financial assistance is in the form of a check if the recipient is a graduate of SUNY Brockport before the fall semester of the award period. If the recipient is not a graduate by the start of the fall semester of the award period, the financial assistance will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period and the student must use this award for educational expenses at the College.- Award
