Harry and Peggy Boutet Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes an outstanding student at SUNY Brockport, who is majoring in English or in Communication. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and a concern for the value of grammar as it relates to all forms of communication. Applicants must also demonstrate leadership and exude a supremely strong and appropriate moral, ethical character with their engagement in their academic department, campus involvement, and/or community. The scholarship selection committee rotates between the Department of English (spring 2022 for 2022-2023) and the Department of Communication (spring 2023 for 2023-2024).

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
