Henry Gould Award

This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a rising junior (sophomore at time of selection) Biology major who is planning to enter the teaching profession. Eligible students will demonstrate academic excellence as shown by a GPA of at least 3.25 and have completed at least 12 credit hours of the required biology courses at SUNY Brockport. This fund was established by the Department of Biology to perpetuate the memory of Dr. Henry Gould, Professor of Biology, 1943-1973.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
