Billy Reed Prize in Public Speaking
This award was established to recognize an outstanding underclassman who excels in public speaking. Eligible students are freshmen or sophomores, who major in Communication at SUNY Brockport, and who demonstrated excellence in public speaking by successfully completing the introductory speech course (CMC 201 Public Speaking), and who has GPA of at least 2.5.
To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “All Department of Communication Scholarships Application".
The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
