Marie Dollard McGrath Scholarship
Margaret McGrath established this scholarship to honor the long career of her mother in elementary education and recognize the years of hard work and personal sacrifice Mrs. McGrath made to become a teacher and support her family. Marie Dollard McGrath was an alumna from the classes of 1928 and 1929. This scholarship recognizes an outstanding student at SUNY Brockport who has demonstrated commitment and potential for excellence in the career of elementary education and who would greatly benefit from the financial resources this scholarship provides. Eligible applicants will be undergraduate students who are rising juniors or rising seniors at the time of application, who possess a minimum GPA of 3.0, in an academic program that leads to certification in childhood education, and demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “All Education and Human Development Scholarships" conditional application.
The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
