James & Carol '94 Haynes Graduate Research Fellowship

This fellowship annually recognizes an outstanding student who has demonstrated a commitment to and potential for excellence in scientific research in the Master of Science program in the Department of Environmental Science & Ecology. Eligible students are matriculated in the Master of Science program in the Department of Environmental Science & Ecology, have a faculty member serve as the major advisor for the student’s thesis , and possess a 3.0 or higher GPA in graduate courses. Midterm GPA will be used to evaluate fall admits, Spring final and fall midterm grades will be used for spring admits. The award will be available to use by the second (Fall admits) or third semester (Spring admits) after matriculation. The recipient will be able to use the award for eligible expenses, up to the maximum allotment, until the end of the academic year of their awarded degree.

This fellowship is selected from internal application process within the Department of Environmental Science & Ecology and does not accept applications.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees OR as an expense reimbursement. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash, unless being reimbursed for approved expenses.
