Josh Silber '93 Excellence in Leadership Award
This award recognizes an entering junior or senior year student who demonstrates leadership skills through service to the College and/or community and scholastic achievement. Examples include but are not limited to service in a leadership position with Brockport Student Government (BSG) or other student clubs and organizations, being a successful and respected Resident Assistant (RA), or by leading a group of peers or others in a successful fundraising or community service activity. The recipient will demonstrate how their academic studies, leadership experience, and extracurricular activities contribute to their personal development and future plans after attending Brockport through a 500-word essay. Applicants must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and return for study at Brockport after receiving the award. This award was established by Josh Silber ’93, alumnus and Brockport Foundation Board of Directors Trustee.
To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “Campus Wide Student Leadership Scholarships & Awards Application”.
The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
