Gregory A. Tortorello Scholarship

Gregory A. Tortorello, BS ‘88, established this scholarship to recognize students from SUNY Brockport’s Department of Communication who demonstrate both a need for financial assistance and how studying communication will help them achieve their goals. The Gregory A. Tortorello Scholarship will serve to support students who would greatly benefit from the financial assistance in order to attend college and to encourage students to develop the skills needed to enhance their future. In addition to the above, eligible students are incoming or continuing at the undergraduate level, demonstrate the motivation and commitment to completing their major, and be involved in at least one activity on or off campus (ie: student groups, PT or FT work, experiential learning, and/ or volunteer activities). For incoming students, demonstrate involvement in at least one activity prior to attending SUNY Brockport.

This is an Auto-Match Opportunity. Applicants are auto-matched to this award based on their submission of their General Application.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
