Class of 1952 Scholarship
This scholarship annually recognizes two outstanding undergraduate students seeking teacher certification in the Department of Education and Human Development (EHD) and students majoring in physical education in the Department of Kinesiology, Sports Studies and Physical Education (KSSPE). Recipients are students accepted into their teacher certification programs during the spring semester of their sophomore year, who demonstrate academic excellence with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have participated in culturally broadening co-curricular activities. In the Department of EHD, preference will be given to students seeking certification for elementary education or majoring in health sciences.
If you are majoring in Physical Education, to be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “All Kinesiology, Sports Studies and Physical Education (KSSPE) Scholarships" conditional application.
If you are pursuing teacher certification through EHD, to be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “All Education Scholarships” conditional application.
The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
