Samuel, Elizabeth and Dr. Francis J. Manno Award
This scholarship recognizes a continuing undergraduate student at SUNY Brockport who demonstrates good academic standing and good character as a well-rounded individual. Eligible students must be rising sophomores, rising juniors, or rising seniors who possess good academic standing and demonstrate future potential for success. Applicants must show evidence of participation in volunteer or service activities, participation in campus governance processes or campus leadership roles, and/or involvement in student clubs and organizations. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a GPA between 2.5 and 3.0 and encourage fellow students to succeed by setting an example of commitment to their chosen field of study. A second preference will be given to applicants who identify as Italian or Italian-American, although all applications will be considered, in honor of the Manno family and their proud Italian/Italian-American heritage.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
