Melinda Kleehamer Senior Seminar Prize

This paper prize recognizes an outstanding student, in the SUNY Brockport Department of History, who crafted the best paper prepared by a student in a senior seminar. Eligible students must be enrolled in the Department of History at the undergraduate level, be currently enrolled in or have completed a 400-level research intensive course at the time of selection. The recipient or recipients will demonstrate academic excellence as based on a submission of original written work as judged by the selection committee. The listed award amount may be awarded to one student, or be divided among multiple recipients as determined by the selection committee.

To be considered for this opportunity you must apply through the “All Department of History Scholarships Application”.

The financial assistance is in the form of a check if the recipient is a graduate of SUNY Brockport before the fall semester of the award period. If the recipient is not a graduate by the start of the fall semester of the award period, the financial assistance will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period and the student must use this award for educational expenses at the College.
