Pionessa Family Study Abroad Scholarship
The Pionessa Family Study Abroad Scholarship was established by two time alumna, Eliza Pionessa, to support other students to experience oversees travel. As one who grew up in a small town, Eliza did not see studying abroad as possible however, she completed an internship in Dublin’s largest Pediatric hospital through a SUNY Brockport’s Study Abroad program. The scholarship supports SUNY Brockport students to step outside their comfort zone and experience all that Ireland has to offer. Eligible students must be accepted to participate in a study abroad experience, full semester, in Ireland and demonstrate academic excellence.
Applicants will be considered for this scholarship by the Center for Global Education and Experience at the time of application to your study abroad program.
The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
