Heidi & Allan Macpherson International Education Scholarship

President Heidi Macpherson, Ph.D. and Dr. Allan Macpherson established this scholarship to encourage and support SUNY Brockport students traveling abroad. The Macphersons experienced first hand the transformative power of international experiences and are committed to supporting others to international experiences in students’ own lives. Eligible students are matriculated, undergraduate students, who demonstrate academic excellence as judged by a overall GPA of at least 3.25, who demonstrate a need for financial assistance as judged by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) minus any other awarded scholarships or grants, and who are accepted/approved to participate in an international educational experience through the Center for Global Education and Engagement.

Applicants will be considered for this scholarship by the Center for Global Education and Experience at the time of application to their study abroad program.

The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
