Ballister Family Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes a continuing student in the Department of Computing Sciences.
Eligible applicants must:
- Be accepted and enrolled in full-time studies in the Department of Computing Sciences at the undergraduate level and intends to complete the Cybersecurity major.
- Must be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year in the semester following selection.
- Must possesses a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preference is provided to applicants who:
- Have prior military service.
- Demonstrate the potential for excellence by involvement in leadership (e.g., student clubs), volunteer (e.g., open houses, accepted student days, etc.), and/or community outreach activities in and/or outside the department.
- Participate in either for-credit (e.g., Independent studies) or non-credit bearing investigation/experience (e.g. working for BITS networking/security teams) within the scope of Cybersecurity.
- Possess a character that demonstrates the attributes of honesty, integrity, perseverance, and respect.
This is an Auto-Match Opportunity. Applicants are auto-matched to this award based on their submission of their General Application.
The financial assistance is in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant that may be used to cover educational costs such as room, board or college fees. The award will be credited to the recipient’s bill during the semester(s) of the award period. The student must use this award for educational expenses at the College and may not receive the award in cash.
