James Horn Scholarship

Dr. James J. Horn, Associate Professor of History Emeritus, taught history and coordinated the Mexico Program for 30 years until his retirement in 1998. Dr. Horn established this scholarship fund to support an outstanding student at SUNY Brockport who demonstrate a need for funding for participation in a study abroad experience.

Eligible students are those who
1. Are accepted into a study abroad program, sponsored by SUNY Brockport, for a program that speaks/teaches language(s) other than English.
2. Demonstrate academic excellence as judged by the selection committee.
3. Demonstrate a need for financial assistance as judged by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) minus any other awarded scholarships or grants, and as judged by the selection committee.
