Class of 1967 Scholarship

This fund was established by the Class of 1967 to recognize an outstanding student at SUNY Brockport, who has been accepted into the teacher certification program and who has demonstrated commitment and potential for excellence in the career of education. It should be recognized and acknowledged that a large majority of the Class of 1967 had long and successful careers as teachers and administrators and have a keen interest in assuring that SUNY Brockport produces a continuing stream of excellent and highly respected educators.

Eligible students must

  1. Be accepted into one of SUNY Brockport’s teacher certification programs as an entering, incoming first time, freshman or transfer at the undergraduate level.
  2. Demonstrate academic excellence as determined by the selection committee.
  3. Demonstrate academic and community engagement by showcasing evidence of involvement in extra-curricular activities which includes, but is not limited to, productions, clubs, church, or volunteer work.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.

Incoming students are considered for scholarships based on their admissions application – they should not apply through the scholarship portal. For best consideration, students are encouraged to submit their application by February 15th.
