Kenneth E. Damann Research Award

This award was established by Dr. and Mrs. Damann, friends, family, and colleagues with the intent to stimulate and encourage undergraduate independent student and research in aquatic ecology by an undergraduate student who has demonstrated, in some substantive fashion, dedication to study in this area. Dr. Damann served as Professor of Biological Sciences at SUNY Brockport from 1966- 1978.

Eligible students must

  1. Be matriculated in the Department of Environmental Science & Ecology at SUNY Brockport at the undergraduate level.
  2. Be engaged in and complete an independent study project in aquatic ecology that is deemed worthy of an award by the selection committee.
  3. Be nominated by a faculty member in the Department of Environmental Science & Ecology.

This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. If the recipient is graduating, they will receive a cash award instead.
