Norman J. Hill Award
This fund was established by Norman J. Hill to provide an incentive for an outstanding student at Byron-Bergen Central School to attend SUNY Brockport and pursue a career in teaching. Dr. Hill a 1945 graduate of SUNY Brockport was an Associate Professor of Education at SUNY Brockport from 1964 until his retirement in 1981. He was formerly, the principal at Byron-Bergen High School.
Eligible students must
- Be a graduating senior of Byron-Bergen Central School or a recent Byron-Bergen graduate who is transferring from another college.
- Be planning to pursue a career in teaching.
- Demonstrate high academic achievements and exemplary leadership qualities.
- Be accepted and matriculated at SUNY Brockport.
This scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s bill in the form of a non-tuition educational expense grant. It must be used for educational expenses and may not be received as cash.
Incoming students are considered for scholarships based on their admissions application – they should not apply through the scholarship portal. For best consideration, students are encouraged to submit their application by February 15th.
